I've had a letter from Rob Mannion, editor of Practical Wireless who asks me to advise club members that he had a break-in to his shack recently and had some gear stolen.

Items missing include an old but treasured Alinco DX-70 ser no T00000723 and a new Kenwood TTM-V71E 144/430MHz rig serial no 9050017, which I gather he had on loan from Kenwood - presumably for review in the mag.

Should members be offered these items please contact Rob or me and I will pass on the info to him. The theft of the Kenwood rig is subject to a Crime no which I have to hand. .........John G0HAT

Tony G3YWG is now at his wheelchair-friendly bungalow at Wallisdown. He is still getting organised but hopes to be on-air quite soon and will be back at the club before too long. Use his mobile number until the broadband is installed next week.
